In the PV Data Upload project module, the average hourly AC power output from the photovoltaic (PV) system is provided by the user. This time series is then subtracted from the pre-project load profile on an hour by hour basis. In other words, the hourly output data from the PV system are treated as negative load values and superposition applies. Once the post-project load profile is created using this subtraction method, the context of the system is considered and the range of impacts estimated. This procedure is illustrated in the flow chart below.
